I wish the contrast in this shot was greater... The bobcat really stands out, but I feel like everything else blends together a bit. My, aren't you Mr. Posting-Lots-of-Pictures lately! Posted by Sha Sha on October 5, 2005 3:38 PMYeah, I've really been struggling with how contrasty to make my photos. Sometimes I feel like mine have too much, sometimes I feel like too little. I'm trying to find where the correct balance should be. Any advice is appreciated!!! Posted by Nate on October 5, 2005 4:31 PMTo be honest, I'm not sure how easy it would be to make this more contrasty. I'd be interested to see the original color photo to see how close the colors of the ground, magnets, and wall are. Maybe it's just a matter of choosing a different balance in the channel mixer. (Look at us talking like photo people!) Posted by Sha Sha on October 5, 2005 9:10 PMOkay, so I backed off on the darkening a little bit, but also cropped it square to eliminate some of the super-gray brick wall and place more emphasis on the interesting part of the photo. A bit better? Posted by Nate on October 8, 2005 4:18 PM«Post a comment» |
